How an office moves between Friday evening and Monday morning without the team losing a working day.
On this page
Most businesses cannot close for a week to move. The goal is simple: people leave on Friday and sit down on Monday with their desk, chair and monitors where they expect them. Getting there takes planning weeks earlier.
Walk both spaces first
We walk the old office and the new one, check access, elevators and loading docks, and confirm what is moving, what is new and what is being left behind.
Tag everything to its new room
Every desk, pedestal and chair gets a tag that matches a spot on the new floor plan. On move night nobody has to ask where anything goes.
Book the building early
- Elevator reservations at both buildings
- Loading dock times and certificates of insurance
- After-hours access and security contacts
- Floor and wall protection rules
Leave Sunday for the details
Friday and Saturday are for dismantling, moving and building. Sunday is for leveling desks, checking drawers and locks, placing chairs and fixing anything that is not right – so Monday morning is just Monday morning.
