This policy explains what information R&D Installations (“we”, “us”) collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to this website only. Questions? Reach us at info@randinstall.com or (310) 714-4298.
Information you give us
When you send a quote request or a message through the chat bubble, we receive what you type: your name, email address, and – if you add them – your company, phone number, the type of project, your timeline and your message. We use it to answer you, prepare a quote or layout, schedule an appointment and carry out any work you hire us for.
Information collected automatically
- Approximate location. To show our service area on the map at the foot of each page, our server looks up the city your internet (IP) address belongs to, using a geolocation service (geojs.io, or ipwho.is as a backup) – or, where our hosting provides it, our network provider. The result is a city, not your address. It is used only to draw the map, is kept in our server cache for up to 12 hours under a scrambled form of your IP address, and is not linked to you, stored with a request, or used for advertising.
- Map tiles. The map itself is drawn from OpenStreetMap. Your browser requests the map images directly from OpenStreetMap’s servers, which receive your IP address as any website does.
- Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records technical details of each request – IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time – to keep the site running and secure.
- Blog view counts. When you read a blog post we add one to its view count. Your browser remembers, for that browsing session only, that it already counted the visit.
We do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or social-media pixels, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Cookies
Visitors to this site are not given tracking cookies. Site administrators who log in receive the cookies WordPress needs to keep them signed in.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:
- service providers that run this website and our email (hosting, email delivery), who may use it only to provide those services to us;
- manufacturers, suppliers or delivery partners when needed to fulfil an order you place with us;
- authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
How long we keep it
Quote requests and messages are kept for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep business records of quotes and jobs – generally no longer than three years after our last contact, unless the law requires longer. Location lookups are cached for no more than 12 hours.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to:
- know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it and who we shared it with;
- get a copy of it;
- ask us to correct it or delete it;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information – although we do not sell or share it;
- not be treated differently for using any of these rights.
In the last 12 months we have collected identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address), commercial information (the projects you ask about) and approximate geolocation, from you and your browser, for the purposes above. We do not collect sensitive personal information. To make a request, contact us at info@randinstall.com or (310) 714-4298. We will confirm your identity – usually by matching the email address you used – and answer within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof that they act for you.
We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of sale or sharing – which, as above, we do not do. California’s “Shine the Light” law lets you ask whether we shared personal information with others for their own direct marketing; we have not.
Children
This website is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection and requests are stored in a password-protected system. No method of sending or storing data is perfectly secure, so please do not send payment card or other sensitive details through the forms.

Links to other websites – social networks, manufacturers, map providers – are governed by those sites’ own privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
